Biography:
There are very few sportsmen as mentally tough as Adrian Hansen. He's the sort of player you want representing your team when all seems lost ... as he always keeps on fighting, believing in the cause, believing that he can still win the match.
Hansen was South Africa's top squash player for 10 straight years and in two of those seasons he never lost a match. A multiple national champion, he was named Player of the Year four times.
His record when representing South Africa in the World Teams Championship is nothing short of astounding - 29 victories in 31 games, while he also inspired KwaZulu-Natal to a couple of victories in the inter-provincial Jarvis Cup when they were underdogs against Gauteng and Western Province.
Having played in more than 60 countries around the world, Hansen racked up 13 Professional Squash Association World Tour titles.
Now approaching 40, he still reveals those competitive fires when there's a big tournament and remains ranked in the top 10 in the country.
